Excavation Careers

Earthworks, a locally owned excavation company is looking for a heavy equipment operator. Must have at least 3 years experience. Company is small but very diverse. We perform all aspects of residential and commercial site prep, building demolition, brush clearing, installing / repairing septic systems and sanitary sewer lines, etc. Majority of jobs are in Clark County. Our company prides itself in delivering top quality work and excellent customer service. Pay dependent on experience and ability.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

-Operate 35-135 series excavator.

-Operate 3-20 yard size dump truck.

-Load and move equipment with 3 axle tilt trailer.

-Operate small dozer finish grading roads and residential lots.

-Operate all types of small hand tools (cut off saw, chain saw, jumping jack, jackhammer, etc.).

-Perform all types of manual labor.

-Complete required forms such as daily timecard

-General jobsite safety knowledge

Qualifications and Requirements:

-Experienced installing/repairing septic systems and all aspects of sanitary sewer installation/repair

-Valid and clean drivers license (CDL preferred)

-Knowledge and ability to operate excavators in tight existing residential areas and around utilities

-Knowledge and ability to read and understand civil drawings and establish grades.

-Knowledge and ability to perform all aspects of residential and commercial site prep.

-Must be able to pass drug screening and be enrolled in a periodic screening program

-Familiar with Southwest Washington area streets and be proficient in finding addresses.

Laborer – $18.00 – $24.00/hr (DOE)

Heavy Equipment Operator – $25.00 – $32.00/hr (DOE)
